This Castle Took Us Completely Off Guard | Scotland Episode 4
NEW SEASON: SCOTLAND
POV of Eilean Donan Castle, the 13th Century landmark and one of the most photographed fortresses in all of Scotland (also found on nearly every tin of shortbread cookies in the country 😉)
Featured in James Bond as the Scottish HQ of MI6.
The castle nestles itself in the Scottish highlands, at intersection of three tidal lochs. Now, you may have seen others here filming the location, all those pro drone operators, and vloggers but my friends, let us be honest with ourselves...
Did they stop at the Rowan Tree to admire the blood red berries?
Did they read to you the story of the Oyster Catchers harboring the cross?
Did they time the castle drone music to sync with your so...

The Mysterious Link Between Chaga Mushroom and the Pineal Gland
Просмотров 885Год назад
The pineal gland is the single biggest mystery in the human body. This pinecone shaped gland situated deep within the brain behind the corpus callosum is is profoundly powerful, offering us a glimpse into the “beyond”. I've come to see it as the unsung hero of human ingenuity. The pineal gland is hailed by many ancient cultures as the "third eye" or "seat of the soul". It runs in deep associati...

In this video we break down this "underground" movement of mushroom hunters worldwide. Wild Foraging Chaga Mushroom in Canada to the Backdrop of Classical Music

You know, when we're out there in the forest in search of the oh-so-elusive chaga mushroom, we've come to notice something peculiar... ...that every mushroom harvest seems to have an accompanying soundtrack that's playing in your mind, similar to getting a song stuck in your head. Sometimes it's Mozart, at other times it could be Led Zeppelin or Johnny Cash, or heck, even some new age deep hous...
Alchemists Guide: How to Make Herbal Tinctures Taste Better Than Candy
Просмотров 3632 года назад
When I first began formulating the first recipe concepts for the wild chaga elixir, it was among my Apex priorities to make it taste insanely good. The reason the formulae has to taste good is because I knew from my own experience that one of the core foundations for reaping the rewards from taking superherbs and mushrooms comes from taking them consistently. What I find to be common in the hea...
Found Wild Chaga in -22° Winter Wonderland
Просмотров 2062 года назад
It's common to assume that us mushroom hunters have it easy, that we simply go on frolicing through the forest with our wicker baskets in search of fungi treasure, resting upon beds of moss and merrily singing Johnny Cash tunes. No. That's only half the story. Well, half the seasons, to be exact. Fall and winter are a totally different story... That's when we slide on our snowshoes, sip that bu...

How to Use Aloe Vera to Heal A Sunburn
My daughter's wedding was at a wee place called St.Mary's space not far from Oban. They had some of their wedding photos taken at Glencoe 🏴 Love my homeland 🏴
A very nice video with beautiful moody music at the end.
Thank you so much 🙏🙏 always trying to get the right song to fit the mood.
That mushroom looked like a shaggy ink cap. They can be cooked and eaten but turn messy very quickly, once picked. Never pick blackberries below waist height as they may have been used by dogs/foxes to relieve themselves, plus the occasional human. The tree may be a Katsura as the leaves smell of cotton candy and toffee when they decay, releasing molecules of maltol into the air.
The old town can be traced as far back as 700AD,But it's been a Royal burgh as far back as the 11hundreds(12 century) Oh and that horse wasn't a clydedale😊😊
Your infectious enthusiasm is lovely. We have many such beautiful cities in the UK but Edingburgh is up at the top. Going to a health food shop followed by a deep-fried Mars bar later. What could go wrong? Subscribed.
Lovely
Bloody Yanks, coming over here , eating our cheese, scaring our seagulls, at least he brought his own beautiful girl with him..😍 Seriously though , hope you had a good time folks.😀
Love your spirit and perception !!! Don't ever loose that !!X
Thank you!!
Nice city for tourists, not such a great city to live in.
I'm curious if you could elaborate on why that is?
Bottled water is the biggest con in Scotland. Open the tap. Faucet to you Americans.
Edin Burra. The Borough of Edin. 🏴
Oh the memories! T'was the summer of 1977 and I was about to turn 15. My older brother and I hitch-hiked from Edinburgh to Oban. We were waiting to take a bus to Fort William at the very spot where you start the video when a herring gull sh!t on my head. 🙄
No Scotland no party
I absolutely loved your awe inspired enthusiasm for Edinburgh. My son lived there for a while so I visited as often as I could from Aberdeen, 120 miles north of the capital. You are correct, you must look up to see the fabulous architecture that just isn’t replicated nowadays. Sadly. Just discovered you this morning so going to follow you on your travels. Haste ye back to Bonnie Scotland 🏴
I live a short walk from here. A Holiday Inn in Edinburgh would be far more expensive and nowhere near as nice. Its amazing the difference by just, as you have wisely done, venturing a short distance out of the city. Still only 20-30 minutes on a bus back to Edinburgh city centre. Great video
Did you visit Edinburgh castle and grey friars bobbies kirk yard there very interesting there is so much history in Edinburgh
We didn't get to the castle there but have visited many of the castles throughout our trip!
@ hopefully on your next trip you’ll get to visit the story of grey friars Bobby is a lovely one is a true story if you can you should read the book it’s a wonderful read
Looks like you're enjoying your time on our quirky little island. It also looks like you're enjoying the food here , contrary to what many Americans think the food available in the uk is actually very good and very underrated. Your videos are a good watch , keep up the great work.
Thank you appreciating the content. We were very impressed with the culinary. You're right, very underrated. Everything was delicious.
Healthy looking forest😂
You're right about that!
Prometheus was filmed on Skye so not far from where you were
In one of the upcoming videos we go right to the spot where the starting of it was filmed.
Those pollysackerites had me on sweating
The Colosseum, is actually Mc Caig's folly. A local entrepreneur and millionaire had it built to keep local stone masons in work.
You can wild camp in Scotland.... Camp anywhere in the wild... As long as you leve it as you found it
I have heard Edinburgh is beautiful
I am very glad you loved my home city, It is by far the most beautiful. I could look over Edinburgh from the Castle Esplanade a million times and it would never be enough. I hope you and the family return.
That bird you see on the rocks are cormorants. Oyster catchers are smaller and much more active. The call of the oystercatchers is high pitched whistle sound like as described in the video. Cormorants are usually quiet. There is another bird called a shag which is very similar to cormorant and it hard to tell them apart. If the guide said cormorants favour the rock then probably it was them but I’m never sure when i go birdwatching, even with books to help ID them i still struggle.
Way to be sustainable.. lol
Best Chinese food I ever had was in Edinburgh. Now, that's not true typically of Chinese food. In Ireland at least it's made to be palatable for the Irish.
Read the title and knew what city you are in... my favorite.
I love your appreciation of our beautiful country and your enthusiasm is catching but im sorry there's something that really annoys me.... your pronunciation of Edinburgh... there are no 'o's in Edinburgh... The burgh bit is pronounced.....bura ... with a soft 'a'...... enjoy the rest of your trip and take care x
Now you know why the english don't want to lose Scotland as part of the dis - United Kingdom? Trillions of pounds worth of minerals and natural resources in Scotland's land and sea ...and they want them . Great video guys ..
I don't think I heard you mention that the town is called Oban.
Just gonna say you two seem perfect for each other, I wish you all the best
I love how you love my country! ❤
It's a very special place
Why do Americans insist on ignoring perfectly good knives and instead try and eat a meal one handed with a fork only? Bizarre. That being said your enthusiasm is wonderful
Hope you got to see the falls of clyde in lanark during your trip. Its a UNESCO World Heritage site!
Just googled it...looks amazing!!
We call wild blackberries brambles! I love the natural feel of your videos. Very peaceful and I'm from scotland and know the places you are! Thanks for visiting and sharing, your enthusiasm reminds me not to take where we live for granted :)
Thank you so much! Working on the next one right now. Love sharing this journey and showing how magical a place can be.
Hope you get to see Plockton, such an adoreable place. Highland coos walking about. We had fantastic smoked fish soup in the hotel. Love Skye it's so beautiful. Caroline
Herd = Flock. Np
my daughter was married there 2014 was amazing
Many blessings to your daughter. She choose the right place.
Nice fam
Love, love, release the doves
Awesome.
Nonsense about 5 years old allowed alcohol! Typical crap from American dunce !
10.15 it will be locals driving with apparent speed , they think they know the road so well , but anything can change unknown to them ie fallen tree rock fall , sheep , pedestrians and so on 🫣🫣
Cormorant ( cor mo rant ) is black with a long beak and it does indeed stretch out the wings for drying off 🤗❤️🏴
I know you like your trees , you might want to take in the Fortingall yew tree in Perthshire . It is reportedly thousands of years old and was rumoured to have been visited by no other than Pontius Pilate . The man who washed his hands of the trial of Jesus Christ ? . There is also an interesting path with slabs giving details of historical events the tree has lived through Keep up the good work 👏👏👏🤗❤️🏴
2:32 Sheep come in flocks, not herds. Herds look after the sheep.
Wrong...Shepherds look after sheep. Herders look after various livestock. Cows, sheep, goats etc
SKYE FOLKS NOT SKY.
Absolutely love your enthusiasm. It is really a unique city . There is probably a lot you didn't see as there are many references to Harry Potter and Rebus (Ian Rankin), a great crime writer who you may have heard of. If you did not find the Brew Dog pub you may not realise there is a lower level to the city. Also the ghost tours are great and show you the Edinburgh vaults which you won't see without a tour but they are free and just pay a donation. Edinburgh is pronounced Edin buurah.
I grew up before mobiles/cell-phones and only knowing 'dial' telephones; later 'push-button' style _(with just landlines or telephone boxes on the street)._ It was SO FUNNY to hear someone say "I've never done this...", when dialling a number ! 🤣🤣🤣
Look into The West Highland Way if you want to go hiking
